When the hydraulic butt welding machine welds HDPE pipes, it needs a frame to fix the pipe, so the larger the frame, the larger the pipe it can weld. But this does not mean that the same type of butt welding machine can only weld pipes of one diameter. Under the action of clamping tiles, one butt welding machine has the ability to handle pipes of multiple sizes.

For example, the maximum welding diameter of WP160A is 160mm, which can also be seen from its name, and its welding range is 63 to 160mm. WP160A can weld 63, 75, 90, 110, 125, 140, and 160mm pipes. This is because the sandwich thickness used by WP160A is 15 and 20mm, and they need to be arranged in sequence. The WP200A adds 180 and 200mm on this basis.

The corresponding dimensions are marked on the inside of the clips. When installing the clips, place them in sequence according to the marked values. The bulges of one clip will fit into the depressions of the adjacent clips, making the installation of the clips perfect. Install it on the rack with screws through the screw hole in the middle of the clamping tile. The surface of Welping’s tiles is made with a frosted texture, allowing it to clamp HDPE pipes more firmly.

In addition to standard reducers, Welping also thoughtfully prepares optional reducers for consumers to purchase, allowing consumers to weld more non-conventional size pipes.

It should be noted that the minimum size of pipe that a hydraulic butt welding machine can weld does not entirely depend on the minimum size of the clip, because the blade of the planning tool does not start from the center of the circle, so consumers need to choose the right one. When using a hydraulic butt welder, you should carefully check its welding range or ask our staff.
